embarrassment."
It's important to take good care of your mouth, teeth, and
gums. Poor oral health has been linked to systemic
diseases, respiratory diseases, and oral cancer. Regular
care (daily brushing and flossing) and visits to your
dentist are included in a healthy oral care regimen.

1. See your dentist regularly
It is important to see a qualified professional to assess
your oral health

Make sure to brush and floss daily.
3. Eat a well-balanced diet
Healthy food is good for your general health and your oral health.
4. Check your mouth regularly
Look for the warning signs of oral cancer – oral
lesions. The 3 most common sites for oral cancer are the
sides and bottom of your tongue and the floor of your

5. Don't smoke or chew tobacco
Smoking and chewing tobacco are dangerous to your oral
health and your overall health. Tobacco use is a major
cause of tooth loss through gum disease and may
lead to serious problems like oral cancer.
